Resisting Roots by Audrey Carlan
5.0
I absolutely adored this new series from Audrey Carlan.
Resisting Roots captured me in the simplicity of well written work and intriguing characters.
Genevieve spoke to me on a human level. She is a twenty something just trying to make ends meet to provide for her 2 siblings after the tragic loss of their parents. Between styling hair, the yoga studio, baseball practice for her brother, her little sisters commitments, and just trying to get enough rest, Genevieve is running herself ragged.
In walks (limps) Trent to the yoga studio for rehab. He injured his knee during a game and he has to, in no uncertain terms, either attend and do yoga, or his contract will be in jeopardy. He has always floated through life and never really stayed committed to one person ever. Yet, Genevieve catches his eye in more than one way from her yoga mat.
Watching their journey and just getting to experience it was a blessing. Audrey did an amazing job with this story and I cannot wait for book 2!
