Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite by Natalie C. Parker, Zoraida Córdova

4.0

Favourites were:
- ‘A Guidebook for the Newly Sired Desi Vampire’ by Samira Ahmed. Loved the setting, the fun format, the humour and the truth within the fiction.
- ‘Bestiary’ by Laura Ruby. Loved the unique setting and the playfulness.
- ‘Mirrors, Windows & Selfies’ by Mark Oshiro. By far my favourite in the anthology. Loved the character development, the mystery and of course the fun yet realistic formatting. I was right there with the commenters, it really felt like I was following a true account!
- ‘The House of Black Sapphires’ by Dhonielle Clayton. Loved the characters, the setting and the ambiguous yet revealing ending.
- ‘First Kill’ by V.E. Schwab. I watched the programme before reading the story and had so much fun revisiting the characters in their original conceptualisation.
