Lisa Jewell’s brain and writing style is engaging.
Some of the content is uncomfortable, and often times gross. The characters are obscure and live with so much package and pain. Mr. Thomsen is a despicable man, but so are Mr. and Mrs. Lamb.
I loved Henry’s concoctions. He did what he needed to to survive!
While there may have been somewhat of a happy ending, it was not my feel good type of happy ending.
