The Four Swans by Winston Graham

4.0

Another fabulous book in the Poldark series - with the introduction of some fascinating new characters - Demelza’s brothers, Sam and Drake, the wonderfully evil Osbourne Whitworth and the fascinatingly complex Rowella.
Winston Graham’s characters are never one dimensional!.
The only part I wasn’t quite as interested in was Ross’s adventures in France - at least, to start with - but then the rescue of the prisoners was nail-bitingly exciting.
And this version was wonderfully read, as usual, by Oliver Hempbrough.
