Heiresses: The Lives of the Million Dollar Babies by Laura Thompson

challenging informative reflective slow-paced

3.25

Narrator rating: 4/5

The lives of heiresses throughout history and the tragedy within them, especially around the search for love and a partner.
I was surprised the author did such a good job as a narrator, as most non-fiction books aren't. But she did a great job.
However, the content made it hard to stay engaged. She went into too much detail, and it was easy to zone out. I think this book is better read in physical or eBook format.
Overall, it's okay, it’s a bit dull in spots, and there are too many similar examples. I get what she was trying for, but feeling sorry for the uber-rich is hard.
