A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg

3.0

This was the first Fannie Flagg book I've ever read, and I was absolutely captivated by the simple, wholesome story.

Is it cliched, predictable, sugary, and sanitized of the harsher realities of Southern life? You bet your ambrosia salad. But it's such a sweet-natured, lilting tale that it's hard to resist. As soothing as snacking on a quart of ice cream in your jammies over winter break.
