🎧 I read this book because of a review I watched on TikTok. This woman could not say enough good things about the book and her affection for the characters. She was in tears.
I did not have this reaction. I didn’t connect the characters and didn’t care about the plot. I didn’t find it interesting.
I appreciated Eddy’s bravery at the end and the self-with and confidence she eventually gained. I loved that she earned a spot in the Literature department. But the wins didn’t come until the last 30 minutes of the book. It was too long and drawn out. I don’t necessarily think the ending made the rest of the story worth it for me.
