This was a bit too much of a direct commentary on current political situations for what I like to read - I wasn't able to lose myself in it as I want to in fantasy. I might have enjoyed it as an essay? Equally I already struggled following the politics in such a short format so maybe not!

That being said, I did appreciate the world Naseem had created, the descriptions of the ways the magic worked, the strong family dynamics, and the "medical fantasy" theme which I'd definitely like to read more of.
