I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

dark emotional funny hopeful reflective sad slow-paced

5.0

*heavy sigh*

This book has helped and will help so many people struggling from similar challenging and traumatic experiences.

Her story was very validating to me as someone that was abused from childhood to adulthood by parents that have tried (and failed) to gaslight me into believing that they weren’t abusive. It was validating to know that I’m not crazy and these experiences have deeply affected who I am as a person.

I felt for her In so many ways throughout the book from frustration and anger to pain and grief to hopefulness and relief.

ALSO…Miranda Cosgrove is an angel and a national treasure, her and Jennette deserve all of the success in the world in whatever they want to do. And Ariana Grande SUCKS and we ALL owe Victoria Justice a huge freakin apology.
