One Was Lost by Natalie D. Richards

3.0

I have mixed feelings about One Was Lost.

On one hand, I was interested the entire time I was reading. I really wanted to know who was behind all of the things that was happening. I didn't figure out who was behind it before the big reveal which is a total plus for me.

However, on the other hand, something was missing. It's hard for me to pinpoint exactly where it fell short, but if I had to guess it would be the lack of depth for the characters. One Was Lost was very action based (and there's nothing wrong with that at all), but I always want to connect to the story. It's hard to do that when your characters feel one dimensional.

As far as the reveal and reasoning behind what was going on to Sera and the others, eh. Not bad, but not fantastic. Again, it needed to be fleshed out more. It was too rushed to really be fulfilling.

Overall, decent book that kept me guessing. Could have been better, but it did hold my attention throughout my time reading it.
