I Was Here by Gayle Forman

4.0

Wow, just wow. Reading this book I was just in an emotional roller coaster. Gayle Forman did a wonderful job in show the point of view of a grieving friend. It was a very confronting and truthful book, how this not only hurts family and friends, but people who hardly knew Meg. The effect that it has on everyone. While this book was mainly about the suicide of Meg, it also showed the grieving process of all the character, the hardship of growing up in a dysfunctional family, friendship and love. This has had a big impact in my life and I'm really glad I got to read this.
