I want able to fully connect to Katy. I found her relationship with her mom to be a bit too much. The idea of dealing with grief by visiting a place so special to that loved one was endearing. However, I kept waiting for a solid explanation of the “twist” and never seemed to got it. I enjoyed the little mystery element and it had thinking constantly of what the expansion Sri on could be, which is why I was disappointed when none was offered.
Listening to it read by Lauren Graham was an amazing experience even if the story didn’t captivate me as much as I hoped it would.
