This could have been good, but it wasn't. It basically comes down to Amanda being way too over the top to be believable in any way, shape or form. She just doesn't make sense. On top of that the police are just a totally strange bunch of people and as police they don't come across as believable. The only believable thing about this book is Tom Conkaffey. He fits his role and his character. Nothing else does.

This is the last book in the series and I would have stopped after the second, but I already has this book to read and that's the only reason I read this. If this series only had Tom Conkaffey and no Amanda Pharrell it would have been far more enjoyable.
