Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling

5.0

Harry Potter and the Sports, Sports, SPORTS!! Believe me when I say, I am in no way a SportzGalā„¢ but every chapter of this that was dedicated to the Quidditch World Cup was r i v e t i n g to me. Turns out I love reading about magical sporting events.

Other than sports, this book is amazing for it's dash of romance, it's expansion of the wizarding world, and the incredible speech that Dumbledore gives after Cedric's death. :'( It's less great because of the boring-a** Rita Skeeter storyline, the number of times J.K. Rowling writes the words "Blast-Ended Skrewt," and the fact that two of the three tournament tasks are not visible to spectators??! I'm no expert, but isn't half the fun of a tournament getting to watch it??? Please explain to me the entertainment value of watching a challenge take place in the middle of a maze or at the bottom of a lake!
