Grim and Bear It by Juliette Cross

5 stars - I loved it!

After six books we are finally at the final sister and the one I have been eagerly waiting for since reading Always Practice Safe Hex. Clara and Henry have been making heart eyes at each other for a while now and we finally see them admit their feelings for each other.

“It’s always been you, Clara. Before I even knew you, the universe was preparing me for you. You soothe my soul in so many ways.”

I loved this couple! They were so adorably sweet and very low angst, which I felt was needed after the anxiety of Jules' book. Clara has finally had enough of waiting for Henry and decides to pursue him, which was a wonderful change of pace. I loved Clara. She is a happy person who is extremely kind and considerate. I loved watching her take care of others and spread love wherever she can. She jumped right into this relationship with Henry and didn’t hold anything back, which is what Henry needed.

“Because I’m your person, Henry. And you’re mine.”

Henry is a moody and traumatized man who is terrified of his necromancer abilities.  I loved watching him open up and heal with Clara’s help. I adored Henry because he was so sweet and had a nurturing soul. Also he reads romance novels and has a giant library so how could I not love this man. These two had a fast paced and steamy romance that was adorable and extremely sweet. These two had so many beautiful moments together from their first kiss, to reading together in a butterfly garden, to the epilogue with their beautiful future. All of it was just so wonderful that I didn’t want to put this book down and finished it within a few hours.

“Everyone deserves another soul who matches them, to walk beside them through this world, to be their best friend and true lover.”...“Do you mean soulmates?” “Yes.” Hesitantly, cautiously, he then asked, “Are you my soulmate, Clara?” “Of course I am, silly.”...“I’ve just been waiting for you to catch up and realize it.”

Overall, this was an absolutely wonderful ending to this series. We have seen this world change and grow with each book and now the future is full of happiness and an even larger family. I am extremely sad this series is over but this was the perfect ending for the Savoie family.
