Frankly I have no idea what to rate this. I “picked this up” (borrowed it from the library on my kindle) because I had to read a book with a color in the title for a challenge so I searched my “want to read” for every color and this looked intriguing. I was honestly a little sad when I found out it was a short story and not a full book. Wow this was something though. Very thought provoking and just…I don’t even know. I can’t believe this was published in 1892. In school I always hated reading older books because they never made sense to me and were so hard to read but this wasn’t bad at all. The writing style and format of the book was interesting and seeing the mc slowly devolve into madness was interesting. This is a little out there but I would definitely recommend.
