"Art is expression"
I had high hopes for this book and the insight it would provide into the meaning of art. The introductory and conclusion sections were useful and there was some good quotes scattered throughout. However, I found this book quite outdated in its language and examples (not even sure if a single woman was mentioned!), and at times it was very boring and irrelevant. It took me ages to get through. Really disappointed that it to touched more on art history, Painters and style, not actually the meaning of art and how it differs across cultures and periods (which I was hoping it would discuss)!
