Lets just get right into it shall we? First thing I have to say is that I hated the cover art of this book! To me minx looks like she I wrapped in plastic wrap .The angle of the rider seems wrong too .
That being said, I really did enjoy the story . I loved how each derby hopeful was giving a backstory and a reason to be invested in the characters. I loved how the race was actually realistic I was worried that the author would make the mistake of having the Minx pull of an easy win and that is not what happened . There was enough action to keep the reader interested and invested right to the end . It is such a shame that authors of this level are so rare now a days especially in the grade books.
