This is a book that feels like family. Queerness, transness, Blackness, all of it is presented in a way that you immediately understand and identify with, and even if you’re someone who holds grudges for decades, you instantly understand why someone is forgiven. Reese is the most natural and honestly loving depiction of a transmasc character I’ve encountered to date, and he felt like he was written for me.
