I'm speechless. This book was gripping from page 1. This book had me crying more than any other book I've read. Chapter 47 specifically. The imagery depicting how insidious depression is was viscerally accurate. I am floored by how this author was able to capture this love story in such a beautifully heartbreaking way. My heart was broken for 3 men in this book simultaneously! I came for the priest, but stayed for the monk.
