This was a very challenging book to read. Despite the heavier content of this story, Robert Jones Jr. wrote with a delicate hand. It was like if poetry had been given the life of a novel. Read the content warnings before you begin, and take your time with it. It’s a story that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
