A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole

I listened to this as an audiobook and it was relatively good other than the way that they spoke and the unrealistic way they acted as children. I was also rather unhappy with not knowing how Rune died. Later, after taking some time to search it up, I found out it was because the hotel he was staying at for a war zone photography job was bombed while he was there.

I didn't really cry when either of the main characters died, even though I thought I would since I was told that this was a very emotional book. I only cried when Rune's little brother, Alton, was sad or just there. Alton was probably my favorite character in this novel though. There were some things every character except Alton said that were too cheesy for me but overall, I think it was okay.

Also, I just think the whole love story with the inclusion of cancer is getting kind of repetitive in books and just include them to sort of benefit off of it.
