This has been sitting on my TBR for a while so when I saw it was included in Audible Plus I hopped on it right away.
Julie Kagawa has built a fascinating world that drew me in from the very beginning.
Talon, the organization that raises and protects dragons making sure that their species isn't killed off by the Order of St. George. Dragons are raised to adolescence and then sent into the world to learn how to blend in with humans by Talon. Once they complete this period of assimilation and training they are given a job with in Talon and become a true part of the organization.
The Order of St. George is all that stands between the dragons and total dominion over the world. Soldiers are trained from their youth to hunt and kill the capricious dragons that slaughter humans without second thought.
Then there are the Rogues, dragons who have left Talon, and are trying to make their own way in the world while being hunted by both The Order and the Organization. With no allies but themselves, these dragons are constantly on the move for their own protection.

And thus we meet our love triangle. Ember, a dragon, meets Garrett, a solider of St. George, and starts to develop feelings that dragons shouldn't be able to feel. However, as she gets closer to the Rogue dragon, Riley, she begins to question everything that Talon has taught her.

Truly a fun read that sucked me into the series. Definitely a YA series so the maturity of the main characters can be rough at times as an adult reader but what teenager isn't a little cringe worthy when we look back on ourselves.

On to the next!
