While the writing of STAR DAUGHTER is beautiful and paints a very vivid world, I felt that it ended up overcomplicating the plot for me. I struggled to pull through the book and felt that I was skimming over parts of the writing because it was too wordy, which in turn made the book draggy.

Even at the end of the book, I am still not so sure what actually happened - though the ending was grand and exhilarating (if a little too deus ex machina).
