Full disclosure: My friend edited this, and I am biased, but...

Comic anthologies on Kickstarter are always a gamble. Luckily, Wayward Sisters delivers exactly as advertised, and then some. Brilliant stories by spooky women! The tone varies so much from piece to piece—I cried a few times, I smiled most of the time, laughed often. The range of settings is delightful and insures you won’t be getting run of the mill monster stories told again and again. It may sound like a hyperbole to say, but there really isn’t a weak comic in this collection. This book is a fucking delight.

My big favorite is Low Tide, a Victorian/Lovecraftian/Gothic about a terrible secret in a stately seaside manor. Go read this anthology y’all.
