I am new to the cozy mystery sub-genre, but I expect to visit back! I felt that this book did teeter on cliché with it being written by an American about the UK, but otherwise it was super cute. Oliver stole my heart immediately, I could read an entire book just from his perspective, or at least one with more of it. Another thing I was really impressed with was the casual diversity- we had gay , Pakistani, Jamaican, and so many female characters! It was really great to see that. I was not fully expecting the ending, though I had my suspicions about who may have been involved, so job well done there! I will definitely be reading the next one!
