"No creature is safe from me if it wishes to harm you, Mayumi, and I will make sure it suffers for ever touching you."

Wow. This book was 90% smut and 10% story and feels, and I was here for it!

Magnar and Delora's story will always be my favorite, being a plussize girly with the blues, but Mayumi and Faunus pulled a lot of my heartstrings too. The grumpy x sunshine dynamic kept changing between them and it was always funny to read. 😂

I love how Opal Reyne slowly incorporates the lore of the Duskwalker world in each book and not just dumping it all inside of A Soul To Keep. Instead, Book 1 became a sort of guide to the basics: Who are the demons? What is a Duskwalker? Who is Jabez?

Each book also touches some of the questions you'd usually ask during your reading, like "Could a mavka and a human have a baby? What would it look like?" - answered in A soul to heal. And in this book, Faunus and Mayumi showed us what happens when a Mavka dies... And how they die.

Needless to say, I'm happy Opal *promised* us HEA in each book. I don't think I can take a Mavka-less bride.

If only we had a longer epilogue! I want to see more domestic MayuNus please, and their baby! Hopefully the next book gives us more Cameos of the previous brides.

Again, you have been warned! This is the SPICIEST book so far, and even I skipped some of it because I wanted to know what happens next. The k1nks are: biting play, size difference (duhh), br33ding, a bit of primal play, using a mirror during seggs, face riding... Our girl Mayumi is HOOONI.

If that's your cup of tea, enjoy. 🍵😜
