Collided by Lauren Asher

4.0

Not gonna lie I feel slightly generous giving this one a 4 but it’s definitely not a 3 and 3.5 seems unjust so 4 it is lol.

I think my biggest complaint with this one is length. I love Lauren Asher and I usually devour her books. For some reason this one was slightly hard for me. I loved both Liam and Sophie, their backgrounds and overall character development. I love the overlap of timelines with Noah and Maya who I adored. Sophie and Liam had good push and pull but it seemed to go on forever so I got a little bored. I don’t mind a slow burn but it’s not always my favorite and I didn’t love it here.

The first chapter from Liam’s POV was heartbreaking but the trauma made me like him more throughout. It was nice that he still laughed and seemed so carefree. It was a good balance for Sophie. I nearly hate 3rd act breakups but dare I say I enjoyed how this one played out. It felt genuinely sacrificial and shout out to Mr. Mitchell stepping in the way he did. I loved how the whole thing went down and the extended epilogue is the cutest! Now I need a next gen series!
