The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

4.0

It has been in my TBR for a long time. It was so hyped that I feared I won't like it but I enjoyed it. The end of the adventure disappointed me to my great dismay. Overall I loved it though it took me half a month to complete it.

Writing Style was awesome. It was a lot difficult for me to understand some paragraphs but I managed. The narrative POV captured my attention. It felt like someone was whispering in my ear all along. Some of the explanation like the mountain View felt real. It was like I was standing there enjoying the view instead of reading it.

I loved Gandalf the most, he was mischievous and the way he tackled the trolls and the goblins was awesome. I most-liked the fight between goblins and the dwarfs. Gandalf and Thorin killing the goblins was marvellous. Wish it was explain in detail.

I enjoyed the riddles game played by Gollum and Bilbo. For a hobbit, who haven't gone to adventures, bilbo did a great job of escaping the Gollum and Goblins. He was far more daring after that and I loved the way hobbit's character developed.

I hated Mirkwoods because I am afraid of dark places. The Journey inside it made my stomach churn. Hobbit killing the spider
