The Third Man by Graham Greene

*yawn*

What a god damn bore. How is this the pinnacle of the noir genre? Maybe I’m just too dumb to understand the love for this story. This clearly was meant for script, but I guess the author decided to capitalise on the market and publish it into a book... and now students studying it are all forced to buy it and fall into its trap.

The shift in narration was confusing and jarring and the characters weren’t really morally ambiguous or anything. They were boring, plain and when the “twist” happened - I just rolled my eyes and wanted to finish it even quicker. I am not looking forward to analysing it.
