This book read like One Direction fanfic but not in a good way. None of the characters were really that likable and Jimmy, Lister, and Rowan were all terrible friends to each other. The plot didn’t go anywhere until about halfway through the book, and there were huge plotholes left unanswered??? like Jimmy is clearly suicidal and mentally ill, but no mention of how he’s working on that?? Lister is an alcoholic and it’s just a plot point?? No actual help?? not to mention Bliss only being around to talk about Rowan. AND THE JIMMY/LISTER THING WAS SO WEIRD AND OUT OF LEFT FIELD Overall, I think this is my least favorite Alice Oseman book thus far, which really sucks because I’ve liked so many of her other books :/
Graphic: Panic attacks/disorders and Suicidal thoughts
Moderate: Alcoholism, Death of parent, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Transphobia
