Bound in Sin by Mae Pierce

I really liked this book. I went into it without knowing what a succubus was but to my surprise I really enjoyed reading about them.

If you don't know what a succubus is here is a little text I found on wikipedia: A succubus is a demon or supernatural entity in folklore, in female form, that appears in dreams to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. According to religious tradition, a succubus needs semen to survive; repeated sexual activity with a succubus will result in a bond being formed between the succubus and the man; and a succubus cannot drain or harm the man with whom she is having intercourse. In modern representations, a succubus is often depicted as a beautiful seductress or enchantress, rather than as demonic or frightening. The male counterpart to the succubus is the incubus.

This book is about a succubus named Allera who ran away from her ex who has drained lust from her. She ran away to a religious town to regenerate her lust where she met a pastor and a blonde haired boy who filled her lust. Of course religious people don't approve of what succubi do so she couldn't openly be her self.

I really didn't mind the religious cult in this story. Usually I don't enjoy reading about religion or anything related in a book but this time it really fitted the story and didn't bother me as much.

the only thing that bothered me was that the people excluding the FMC didn't really have a personality. Most felt a bit bland to me which I always find a problem in novellas or other shorter books. That's why it's not a five star for me.
But this steamy novella did what it was supposed to do and did it right. I am curious to read other stories by this author
