Welcome to Torture Island!! There was a lot that fit into this story. I thought it was really well done - but it wasn’t my favorite, mostly because I realized how much I love banter and conversation as the couples in this series are getting to know and like each other.
For about half of this book, Carrow and Malkom couldn’t speak the same language. Felt a little like vemon Tarzan (vampire/demon) with witch Jane.
I loved the ending and looking forward to seeing this story arc continue to play out. Now that we know so many more characters from all the previous books, I love seeing when they all come together.
As always - can’t do a review without calling out how boggled I am by the amazing audio narration. Is there an accent Robert Pekhoff can’t do? I am consistently blown away by how well he performs every book!!
