Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
4.0
4.33 stars. LOVE THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIBES HERE.
PT: Marissa Meyer/Lunar Chronicles, books with black covers, fantasy books, folklore and folklore retellings

1) I would die for all of these characters.
2) The Little Mermaid retelling!! Ecstatic that Meyer brought this one in via the android! Took me a mo to realize that was the story origin but AH it was great.
3) LONGER THAN EXPECTED?? Normally this kind of bonus content is like 100-200 pages. Bless you, Marissa, for going all out and giving us a 400 page look at additional content. J'adore!
4) THE EXPLANATION FOR THE SELENE/SCARLET MIXUP (and other loose ends). This so completely and effectively addresses every question I had about the main content of the series. Wow. A true model for other writers.
5) Carswell's Guide to Being Lucky. My heart. The Han Solo vibes!!!!!!!
6) REBECCA SOLER! I will never NOT compliment Rebecca on her performance! You did amazing, mate!

1) You know that feeling when you end a series and there's no more content for you to binge so you're left just feeling really hollow and empty and lost? Yea. Where do I go from here, Marissa? You've raised the bar too high. Nothing even compares. I loved this all too much, and now the only direction left is down- unless... unless.....I read it all again. Excuse me while I check out Cinder for the third time-
2) Something Old, Something New was just a shade too Emily Giffin for me. Just a tad. That's nitpicking, but I hate leaving this section so empty.
EDIT: if Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky becomes a movie/short in the TLC show, it NEEDS to include Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder. AINT NOTHIN’ GONNA BREAK MY STRIDE, NOBODY GONNA SLOOW MEE DOOWWN OH NO! I GOT TO KEEP ON MOOOVIIINNN
