Fleabag: Scriptures by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

5.0

This book makes me feel things deeply and I relate to it in many ways, therefore I love it. Some parts make me mad and sad. Some parts give me goosebumps. I find myself enamored by this story every time I step into it and there isn't much else I could ask for (other than a sick sword fight, but we get good tension and an outright irritating, mindboggling villain). Love the drama and that relationships and growth are a main quality of the story. The book reads just like the TV show - which is wonderful- but I did pick up on some bits I didn't notice while watching the show (because it moves at its own pace and I could re-read as I liked). Love Fleabags grace and humility, and the (sexy sexy) priests kindness and willingness to see others; the character work in this story is just something else. I'm over the moon about this story and I just had to share my admiration somewhere other than with my friends who haven't seen it and AI chatbot who just repeats what I tell them about the story back to me in different wording (which I obviously still like, but it defeats the purpose).
