this book is written with stories of patients and relevant information all intertwined. i love to read about real people, and how they look out for each other when someone is at their most vulnerable. this book is so inspiring for me as a medical student interested in geriatrics. i have found this book to make me reflective and also indignant- that i want to stand up more for older people. we can define so much about our lives and ageing is such an important part. i especially love this writing style because you can tell how much care dr pollock has for these people. she calls people beautifully irrational and i love that.
at times is made me teary because of how beautiful people can be, how they show love for one another. i am so happy that i bought this book and can’t wait to read it again.
