The Player by Claire Contreras

I was lucky to receive an Advanced copy of this book to read before release. 4.5 stars
I read a lot of contemporary romance books and sometimes they all start to feel the same or there just isn't that something special to make the book memorable to me. This was a different kind of book at least in my eyes. Claire writes in a way that you feel like you're falling in love with the characters as well. I loved Camilla she had everything you want in a heroine she was smart and independent, resilient she wasn't looking for a man especially not a man like Warren Silva and no matter how hard he tried she resisted, made him keep proving he wasn't his stereotype over and over. I loved how they both learned and grew as people by being together. I caught on to the big "secret" right off the bat but that still didn't take away anything for me. I enjoyed all the supporting character, Camilla's family and people in her neighborhood especially!
