Did not finish book.

I will never understand authors who write about the FMC being assaulted repeatedly and somehow expect the readers to call it a romance. I can't take anymore of Bones and him violating Nelle. Not to mention their sparring of words was becoming boring af and there is no depth to their dislike for one another. Chapter after chapter it's the same jabs between the two of them. Bones was written so childishly IMO. What grown man waits until the woman falls asleep to show some type of kindness, and the minute she's aware of him, he goes back to being a dick. I made it 50% in and learned nothing. I disliked Bones and felt nothing for him. Nelle was also boring and herself pitying monologues became redundant.
