In this volume we continue to see Nick’s journey in learning more about himself. His growth in this volume is quite incredible. Additionally, seeing how much Tao & the rest of Charlie’s friends care for Charlie is truly so special.
There was a conversation that I think the Netflix adaptation didn’t include between Nick and Charlie, after Nick goes to Charlie’s house in the rain, that felt really important for the growth & relationship of these characters. Reading it in the comic brought a bit more depth to their connection and how Nick processes his sexuality. I felt I missed that in the Netflix show!
Graphic: Bullying and Homophobia
Minor: Outing
