The Afternoon Tea Collection by Pamela Clark

5.0

Anyone who knows me knows I take my tea VERY, VERY SERIOUSLY. And it's much the same for all things accompanying a nice tea. Either do it right or don't do it at all.

Fortunately, The Afternoon Tea Collection exists for those of us out there with standards concerning that most blessed of beverages. I love this book. It's got recipe for every typical teatime food you can think of: sandwiches, scones, cakes, tarts, slices and more. Nicely varied, extremely delicious, and all in all very achievable. Some special equipment is required for a few of the recipes (mainly pans/molds), but all it can be bought for very cheap on Amazon or at your local Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Trust me, you'll be glad you made the investment. Just get a few of these recipes under your belt and soon you'll be basking in your tea time superiority, separated from the sad masses whose idea of a scone begins and ends with those pathetic dry lumps you get at Starbucks. All will be in awe of your afternoon tea prowess, and will have no idea how simple most of it was-just planning and patience for the most part. Five stars, and highly deserving ones at that.
