Astra by Cedar Bowers

4.0

4.5 stars. This was a beautiful book. Astra is a compelling - and often difficult - character. Bowers' decision to reveal her to us through the lens of the other people in her orbit (reminiscent of Olive Kitteridge) was the right choice. I love a good character study and this novel had a beautiful redemptive arc that had me shedding a happy, heart-heavy tear at the end. Plus, I always love a story set at home in Beautiful British Columbia ❤️
