- Plot- or character-driven? Character
- Loveable characters? Yes

I can only say good things about this book. I came to love Anne, Miriam, and Heather. It was so hard to tell them goodbye when the book was done.
Ms Robson’s story about “princess Elizabeth’s” wedding gown was palpable. I appreciated every aspect. Following Anne and Miriam in the moment, and also following Heather as she learned about her grandmother’s past.
It was such a pleasant deviation from the typical historical fiction. If you enjoy historical fiction with strong women, then this is a must read. Even if you don’t normally like books like that, you should read it anyway.
