I debated for a while whether or not I should rate this since I didn't finish it. But here I am, joining the one-star team bc I can't believe the incredibly high rating this book has.
I'll say this though, the beginning started off with a bang, albeit a little more on the gruesome side. Our H and h meet when he rescues her from an Afghanistan stronghold where she was being tortured. Like holy shit??
...and then it all goes downhill from there.
• Insta-lust? Check.
• The asshol— I mean H disrespecting waiters? Check.
• The h blushing over every little thing? Check.
• Horribly cringy sex scenes? Check.
• Wait did I say insta-lust yet? CHECK.
Anyways this book is just not for me but if you enjoy zero sexual tension because insta-lust came knocking real early then, by all means, pick this up because you might really like it.
