I way I am obsessed with this series so far is intense, Hobbs writing is so immersive.

Royal Assassin is book 2 in the farseer trilogy and is an incredible character driven epic fantasy.

We still follow Fitz and I absolutely adore him, we follow him from such and young age and he's been through so much, he can't catch a break. His development throughout is amazing how could he not love him. And then with the appearance of Nighteyes only makes him more intriguing. And I love Nighteyes and there relationship through the wit, the way he just interjects into Fitz had me laughing.

Saying that Hobbs explores Fitz relationships with all the side characters and the overall development of them is amazing even the ones I don't like 'yes, I'm looking at you Molly' The fool especially is my  favourite the love I have for the fool is unmatched.

Like the first one this is heavily character driven with slow-pacing and filled with political intrigue. Yet I was never bored the characters and world is way too interesting. This books are truly immersive.

The world building is fantastically built upon and we also explore the magic system more. Exploring the wit and skill only made this world more engaging which I didn't think possible. The politic intrigue with regal and king shrewd, I'm just... I'm just so deeply invested I feel like I'm in this world. Plus that ending was just ... I don't have a word for it. Easiest 5 stars ever.
