I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai

3.0

Meh. A book written without emotion, without literary talent, more from hearsay and history than anything else. A lot of shit about a cancerous religion and a lot of info dumping that does nothing for readers. A Nobel peace prize won mostly as propaganda and drama. A horrendous event that honestly pales in comparison to what happened to the rest of Pakistan, to so many hundreds of thousands of people, to so many millions of girls around the world. But I will not go into a lot of detail because the discussion is too large and complex for snowflakey, young adulty goodreads. In short, e mediocre read about a person who comes off as utterly unlikable. Her father though... Give that man a Nobel Peace Prize and let him write a book because that would definitely have much more added value.
