The Girl Who Cries Colors by Raven Kennedy
4.0
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve read quite a bit from RK so I’m not surprised.
I am going to post things that might be a little spoilery because it’s kind of hard to review this particular book without being a little spoilery so be warned.
First off, this book is 3rd person POV. That doesn’t bother me but I know some people don’t like that.
Next, this book is just really sad. There’s a love story here but it’s not the focus imo. It’s just a sad story about 2 kids, one who cries colors and one who doesn’t have any friends and they find each other. He also figures out he’s really gifted with painting.
I think this needed to be like 100 more pages. I would have LOVED 100 more pages because the ending just felt like it stopped in 2 chapters and I was like “NO I NEED MORE WHAT?!”
I feel like we got a pretty good look at their childhood, got a decent look at her adulthood, and nothing of him in adulthood, hence why I needed more.
Overall I really liked and the way it was written!
