This Prelude to Knightfall is a bit slow for my taste. But then again: it's only a prelude and hasn't ever been concidered essential enough to be included in the previous releases of the Knightfall Saga.
It is a good book though, it's just good Batman stuff. It only felt slow because I was reading it with it being the beginning of the Saga in mind. It's got some fun stories and does a good job introducing the major themes of Knightfall before the main event kicks off.
