The Body by the Sea by Jean-Luc Bannalec, Jean-Luc Bannalec

mysterious medium-paced

Overall, I generally found the book enjoyable although I am not fond of the book layout where there are essentially no chapters. The final solution was good, though not entirely unexpected.

Would probably be more enjoyable for an English language reader with some experience in French. As a result of my lack of French, I had quite a bit of trouble keeping track of the places in the story.

As a one-off read several books into a a series, the author gave enough background to make new readers like myself acclimate to the characters.
