I knew I’ll like Law of the Jungle when I read the blurb - the main character is a female scientist working with animals on their venom. I would love to be a scientist although I wouldn’t choose spiders as my subject of interest!

Rowena is studying spiders in Amazonian jungle, one day her scientific permission is under review and she needs to leave the village… she moves to a really bad hostel and is trying to schedule a meeting with a person who can give her the permit back… and that’s when she meets her love. Happy coincidence or a deadly curse?

Her research is successful, yet thanks to people who only care about money she goes through hell in the jungle… it’s hard to write without spoilers but you *must* read this novella!

It’s really pleasant to read, the writing is fantastic and the plot fascinating.

The story is great by itself but when you read about Christina’s background then the book becomes even more powerful! The author’s own experience in South America blew my mind.

I’ll definitely read all other books by Christina.
