At the Existentialist Café: Freedom, Being, and Apricot Cocktails, by Sarah Bakewell

this was a great book although i warn people who want to attempt it not to get it in audiobook form unless you want to be stopping in the street to take notes every 5 seconds to make sure you grasp the concepts. a nice pop phil introduction to the main ideas of existentialism while blended with the biographical. apologies to everyone who had to deal with my fluctuating philosophical positions every chapter of this book, but i have now settled on the fact Merleau-Ponty had it right.
